We leverage this physical space we call the Sanctuary on the Trail™ which is quietly nestled along the Appalachian Trail (AT) in Northern Virginia on the Blue Ridge Mountain. The Sanctuary provides space to lead out-reach initiatives that are faith-based. It is a kind of "peace place."
Over the years, countless lives have come and gone over the Blue Ridge Mountain, hiked along the AT and floated along the Shenandoah River Valley. It is here, we have found some of their stopping points. For the past five years, we have excavated concentric rings, studied the annual solstices and equinoxes and uncovered miles of what appears to be a Paleo-Indian ceremonial and observation site dating back nearly 12,000 years; twice as old as Stonehenge and three times as old as the pyramids.
Our idea of maintaining a church is a spiritual place / space, not a building. On paper we are a non-profit church. What is written on our hearts and minds is unearthing the Creator's Spirit in our hearts and heritages for all our relations. Our mission is “Helping Leaders First” and “Bringing recognition to the contributions that the Indigenous of the Americas have made to the globe” to “Reduce Suffering in the World.” Who is a leader?

"Know that the work we're doing now collectively may not be realized in our life time. It's a goal we're working towards, which will benefit people beyond any of our expectations or imaginations. As a peaceful people we can gather people to one sacred hoop and accomplish good," – Chris (Comeswithclouds) White
